The Alternative Student Press Publications collection contains seven different student periodicals dating from 1961 through the mid 1980s. Titles include the following: The Gadfly, Notes from the Underground, The Iron Butterfly, Vox Clamantis in Deserto, Saint Peter Magazine, The Gustavus Globe and World Leader Sun Times, and The Alternative. These miscellaneous short-lived publications had a variety of purposes. Titles produced in the 1960s often had a counter-culture sensibility while works produced in the 1970s and 1980s lack overt political commentary. Publications are organized by date. There are missing editions for some titles.
